About Us


Olivia (Liv) Carter
Hello! I’m Olivia, the founder of Mind Body Nature. My journey into the world of nature therapy began with a blend of professional insight and a personal passion for nature connection. Mind Body Nature was created from a need to find a better way to support wholistic and lifelong change.
As a trained social worker I have had the privilege of working with women and their children, families, youth and with various groups. I have additional qualifications and experience in the areas of Developmental Trauma, Early Childhood Development, Outdoor Recreation and Bush Adventure Therapy. I had worked many years supporting families within the traditional frameworks and felt something was missing. When I started providing therapy outdoors I realised the missing piece was Nature!
The use of nature for healing and change is not new and has been used by indigenous people around the world for thousands of years. I have been witness to the power of immersing oneself in nature, in the openness it affords and in its ability to hold big emotions. I have spent the last 4 years exploring all things Nature Therapy and undertaking my own adventures of self discovery in the Australian Bush. I have also had the honor of developing and running an NDIS funded Bush Adventure Therapy group program. Through these experiences I discovered what is possible when in partnership with Nature.
The vision for Mind Body Nature goes beyond individual therapy sessions. It’s about creating a community where mental well-being is nurtured in partnership with nature. Whether you’re looking for a breath of fresh air in your therapeutic journey or a new way to connect with yourself, I am here to guide you.
